Travel is back in 2023 and Starts With A Wish Travel is looking for people who want to be a travel agent specializing in Disney destinations – aka – a “Disney Travel Agent” and who are committed to complete the training and dedicated to marketing your business on a full or part-time basis.

Starts With A Wish Travel is an Earmarked Travel Agency, which is the same thing as Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. This is a designation awarded by Disney that shows we meet – and often exceed – the guidelines and goals that Disney sets for travel agencies in order to receive that designation.

We specialize in booking and planning vacations to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii, Adventures by Disney and Universal Studios – Orlando. We not only book our client’s vacation packages, we also provide planning services including making dining reservations, assisting with ground transportation, and more. We plan an itinerary for every client and make sure they have what they need to have a magical vacation free from stress.

All agents of Starts With A Wish Travel are independent contractors. This means that there are no benefits, paid time off, etc. You are paid on commission after the client travels. 

There are some start-up and ongoing fees which cover your training, mentorship and other necessary business expenses, but they are lower than many others in the industry. I am very upfront with this and you will receive more information after we receive your application.

You will receive many templates and other helpful tools during your initial training and after. We have a shared Google Drive with everything you could ever need. We have an agents-only Facebook group where somebody is always available to help.

We are credentialed by lATA, and once you meet the sales level set by them, you will receive your IATA card. This is your travel agent ID card to use to receive discounts on travel so you can take more trips and learn even more! The BEST way to increase sales is by visiting a destination and share about it on social media!

You will complete the Disney College of Knowledge (which you may have heard) about as part of your training. We also occasionally receive invites for agents to travel to onsite training held at a Disney destination! They are a ton of fun and always include free Disney stuff!

At Starts With A Wish Travel, although all of the agents are independent contractors, we work and support each other as a team. We strive to be the most knowledgable, trusted and friendly travel advisors in the industry. We are known for the high level of service we provide our clients. If you are selected as an independent contractor, you will complete not only training provided by Disney but also our brand-new agency training
program.
