Why do we like 50’s Prime Time Cafe?

We visit 50’s Prime Time Cafeevery trip. We love the decor, the food is delicious and the service is exceptional. The menu includes things like fried chicken, meatloaf and chick pot pie. The atmosphere is so fun! When you walk in, you will feel like you are stepping back in time to the 1950s. There are vinyl chairs and formica counters. Wherever you’re seated you will be able to see an old black and white TV playing shows from the 50’s. And check out the kitschy decor!

Ok, now the important part…!! They have the best “home-cooked” food. I mean, just look at these pictures! The onion rings are the best I’ve ever had. The fried chicken, chicken pot pie, meatloaf all delicious. We eat here every trip and haven’t had a bad meal here yet!

The decor is adorable, and the food is delicious, but there is one thing that makes this place really stand out. The servers! Since you are eating in Mom’s kitchen, your server will be your cousin, aunt or uncle. And if there is one thing you need to know, it’s proper manners for eating at Mom’s. No elbows on the table. Eat all of your veggies. If you break the rules, you could end up standing in the corner. I’ve witnessed more than one dad standing in the corner! You could also finding yourself singing “I’m a Little Teapot” to everyone. Don’t text at the table or you may lose that cell phone! (as my niece Gracie about that) My favorite 50’s Prime Time Cafe memory is from last summer when my niece Gracie had to help clear the table after lunch!
